Tasting:
It is precisely in the countryside of Marsala that a unique heritage of history, culture, and flavors is hidden. It is here that some of the best Sicilian organic extra virgin olive oils are born, thanks to an ideal terroir, where the Mediterranean
climate and fertile soils guarantee uncompromising quality. It is in these lands that Ulìo is born.
The organic extra virgin olive oil Ulìo is obtained from the cold pressing of Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla, and Cerasuola olives, native cultivars that represent Sicilian excellence. It appears veiled, with a brilliant yellow color that immediately
catches the eye.
Its aroma is clear and complex, with notes of sweet vegetables like zucchini and red pepper, enriched by delicate herbaceous scents of arugula and tomato leaf.
The taste is fruity and of medium intensity, with distinct notes of artichoke and almond. A surprising balance develops between a pleasant perception of bitterness and a graceful spiciness that gradually intensifies in the throat, leaving a fresh
and persistent aftertaste.
The Company:
A winery in Marsala born in the 1950s from the dedication and commitment of the Di Girolamo family. Baglio Diar has upheld certified organic viticulture for 20 years to guarantee the quality and safety of its products. In the vineyards, mainly native
vines are cultivated, and sustainable practices are followed with full respect for the environment.
The bottles feature an exclusive design that enhances Sicilian culture, even on the label. The flagship selection is called Wine Art and celebrates the encounter between Sicilian literature and the island's native vines; in fact, the names and labels
of the bottles are inspired by the novels of Pirandello and Verga.
